Ghost Dinner & Walk
This Halloween season, the Ripley Castle Estate invites brave visitors to step into the shadows and discover the darker side of one of North Yorkshire’s most historic estates.
On Tuesday 27th October, the Ripley Castle Ghost Walk will take guests on an atmospheric journey through the village and into Ripley Castle itself, combining a spooky two-course dinner at The Boar’s Head with tales of ghosts, history and local folklore.
The evening begins at 6pm at The Boar’s Head, where guests will enjoy a specially prepared two-course spooky dinner, before heading out at 7.30pm for a guided walk through the historic village.
The route will take guests around Ripley, the graveyard and church, before continuing towards the castle. As darkness falls, the group will then enter the atmospheric surroundings of Ripley Castle for a special ghost tour, uncovering some of the stories, legends and unexplained happenings associated with this remarkable historic building.
With its ancient stone walls, centuries of history and secluded setting, Ripley Castle provides the perfect backdrop for an evening of ghostly tales and local legends.
